British firm launches new CBD cream

British CBD brand Synerva CBD Oils has launched a new CBD muscle and joint cream as part of its expanding range of wellness products.

“Light, easily absorbed and with a refreshing menthol fragrance, it gets straight to work on aches, pains and exercise-related injuries when applied topically, reducing inflammation and targeting pain at the source”, the company says.

The new Muscle and Joint Cream is infused with CBD as well as arnica oil – also known for its pain-relieving qualities.

It also includes natural conditioning oils, butters, moisturisers and muscle-soothing essential oils of camphor and menthol.

It is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben and sulphate-free and contains only natural ingredients. Synerva’s new CBD Muscle and Joint cream is ideal for gym-goers, runners and sports enthusiasts in search of a quicker post work out recovery, as well of the growing number of people experiencing posture-related problems caused by WFH (work from home) rules and sports injuries from home work-outs.

Research into the topical application of CBD is very promising.

A 2016 study discovered that topical applications of CBD could help manage pain and inflammation associated with arthritis.

Other research found that using the same product works as well as the painkiller ibuprofen in reducing pain and improving function in the hands.

Alongside 200mg of high-quality zero THC CBD, the new CBD Muscle and Joint Cream from Synerva contains arnica, a herb that is commonly used topically as pain relief.

Early research shows that using a topical arnica product twice daily for three weeks reduces pain and stiffness and improves function in people with osteoarthritis in the hand or knee.

On the launch of the product, director and founder of Synerva, Clare Hales said: “I started Synerva as a business after my husband, Jason, had a cycling accident, which left him with a broken spine. To aid his recovery, he started to take CBD oils which had dramatic results. Now he is back cycling over 200 miles a week just three years later.

“As my husband is a keen cyclist, we know first-hand that many sportspeople experience niggles with muscle and joint pain after taking part in sport, we wanted to develop a product that would help relieve and aid recovery.

“We started to look into developing a cream with both CBD and arnica in to provide relief and having seen what impact this combination of ingredients can have; we are extremely pleased with the final product.
