A data and economics specialist working across Germany’s medical cannabis sector will join the Cannabis Health Symposium Frankfurt later this year.
Dr Patrick Möbius, Head of Business Intelligence at Grünhorn Group, has been confirmed as a speaker at the event at Mainhaus on 4 November.
Möbius works across market intelligence, pricing strategy, patient demand analysis and operational performance, drawing on data from different parts of Germany’s medical cannabis market.
His contribution will focus on how the market has developed since Germany’s cannabis reforms came into force in April 2024, including changes in patient demand, international supply, competition and pricing.
The reforms significantly changed the country’s cannabis framework and have been followed by increased patient access and growing use of telemedicine.
Möbius joined Grünhorn in 2023 and is now Head of Business Intelligence at the group.
His work focuses on using market and patient data to understand demand patterns, pricing, competition and commercial developments across Germany’s medical cannabis sector.
Before joining Grünhorn, he worked in data analytics, pricing and business development at Apologistics and Stadtwerke Leipzig.
Möbius also has an academic background in economics. He holds a doctorate from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, where he previously worked as a research associate in macroeconomics.
Möbius’s contribution comes as Germany continues to assess the impact of major cannabis reforms introduced in April 2024.
He is set to take a data-driven look at the economic, regulatory and competitive trends shaping the sector, alongside changes in patient demand.
The economics specialist will also examine rising international supply, increasing competition and pressure on prices, as well as differences in demand between regions and products.
The Cannabis Health Symposium Frankfurt takes place at Mainhaus on 4 November 2026, bringing together healthcare professionals, researchers, industry and patient advocates for a day of discussion around medical cannabis.
