4C LABS Health Clinics will offer patients online consultations with doctors.

Medical cannabis company 4C Labs is set to open a UK clinic in 2022 – offering next day delivery on prescriptions.

Medical cannabis company 4C Labs has become the first in the UK to obtain both a medical cannabis cultivation licence, and a specialist clinic licence that will allow doctors to prescribe medical cannabis online.

4C LABS Health Clinics will operate in the UK and the Channel Islands and is expected to be up and running by July 2022.

The licence enables 4C LABS to establish 4C LABS Health Clinics, a specialist medical clinic that will offer patients online consultations with doctors, as well as access to educational content on health and wellness.

It intends to offer next day delivery on medical cannabis prescriptions, for those patients who meet eligibility criteria.

Patients will also be able to access referrals to physiotherapists, counsellors and psychologists, dieticians and other health care professionals.

4C LABS says it has developed a proprietary prescribing framework, The Step System, designed to provide an easily understandable, easy to use system for dosing and prescribing.

The Step System is tied into a patient feedback software system and database and will allow 4C LABS to compile patient data, analyse patient outcomes and improve product formulations.

The company claims that having the ability to operate online, specialised clinics, combined with domestic medical cannabis cultivation, places 4C LABS in a unique position when it comes to solving some of the key issues faced by doctors and patients in the UK.

Greg Dobbin, CEO of 4C LABS, commented: “We are extremely excited to have successfully registered our virtual clinic; this is a major step forward for patients who are eligible for medical cannabis, as well as those who are looking for an integrated approach to treatment that considers all aspects of wellbeing.

“We have worked extremely hard to build and integrate an IT platform into our business that ensures we meet the health needs of our patients. We are developing a leading digital platform enabling automated scheduling, one click records retrieval and digital prescriptions, to significantly streamline the process. To make the process easy for patients, we have simplified the patient pathway to dramatically reduce the time between consultation and prescription delivery.”
