MyAccess Clinics rejoins Project Twenty21 to help build real-world data

UK medical cannabis provider, MyAccess Clinics, has announced it will rejoin Project Twenty21 to help build real-world evidence and aid future prescribing.

MyAccess Clinics (MAC) will now be taking on new patients through Project Twenty21 (T21) and contributing to the creation of the UK’s largest body of evidence for the effectiveness and tolerability of the treatment.

MAC, which prescribes medical cannabis to patients with a range of pain and psychiatric conditions, is offering initial consultations for £49 for those transferring from another clinic enrolled on the project.

The clinic also offers a shared care pathway, allowing their trained GPs to issue prescriptions at a more affordable cost for patients.

MAC’s prescribing GP, Dr Harrison Offiong, recently took part in a panel on educating GPs about medical cannabis, which was hosted by Drug Science last month.

In a statement, MAC said: “MyAccess Clinics is proud to announce the rejoining of the T21 Project. MAC are looking forward to working alongside Drug Science to provide treatment of the highest standard that allows for data collection which will aid future provision of care within medical cannabis.”

Medical director, Dr Sunil Arora, is one of the most experienced medical cannabis prescribers in the UK, as one of the first doctors to prescribe in 2019.

Dr Arora, who has been a committed patient advocate and educator to other doctors in this field, through his work with the Medical Cannabis Clinicians Society, said: “It is a pleasure to be back with T21 and support patient access to  medical cannabis. I look forward to helping patients and aid DrugScience build real world evidence.”

MAC offers virtual appointments for patients anywhere in the UK, suffering from debilitating conditions including: chronic pain, migraine, cancer-related pain, anxiety, PTSD, depression, sleep disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Dr Arora and MAC’S T21 patient coordinator, Patty, will be working together to provide the best possible care to all new or transferring patients interested in joining the project.
