UK Anti-Doping Laboratory Director to Speak at London Cannabis Symposium

The director of the UK’s only World Anti-Doping Agency-accredited laboratory has been announced as a speaker at a medical cannabis conference in London next month.

Professor Kim Wolff, Director of King’s Forensics at King’s College London and Head of the Drug Control Centre, will speak at the Cannabis Health Symposium London on 26 November.

According to King’s, Wolff’s main research interest is the detection of drug biomarkers in biological samples.

She has worked closely with the Department for Transport on drink and drug-driving policy and chaired an expert panel whose work contributed to the introduction of new drug-driving legislation in the UK. She received an MBE in 2016 for her work as chair of that panel.

At the symposium, Wolff will examine workplace issues including drug testing, fitness for work, reasonable adjustments and the challenges faced by prescribed cannabis patients in safety-critical roles.

Ahead of the event, she said she was “looking forward to knowledge sharing and lively debate”.
