Aaron Chalmers rose to fame on reality TV series Geordie Shore

Reality TV star Aaron Chalmers has told how he turned to CBD to deal with sleepless nights after becoming a new dad during lockdown.

The Geordie Shore star, 33, welcomed son Romeo in April last year, and his partner Talia Oatway is due to give birth to their second child in May.

He has now revealed how the demands of becoming a father for the first time left him exhausted, and how the global pandemic made it even harder to cope.

Aaron, who is an ambassador for UK CBD retailer Natural Strains, found CBD helped ease his anxiety and help him sleep better.

He said: “It’s definitely been a tough year, with everything that’s going on with Covid and lockdowns. Since Romeo was born I’ve been super busy doing things I’ve never done before like changing nappies and doing night feeds and everything else that comes with a newborn.

“We love him to bits, but nothing prepares you for how different your life becomes with a baby. I’ve been a lot more tired and stressed, my mind has been working overtime and it’s been a lot to get my head around

“I started using CBD from a company called Natural Strains to help me chill out and get enough sleep, because being awake all hours left me destroyed.

“I got involved with it at a very vital point of my life and it has definitely helped me cope with everything being thrown at me.”

Former scaffolder Aaron, from Newcastle, rose to fame on the MTV reality show, but has carved out a successful career in Mixed Martial Arts.

He has had to balance his strict training regime with the demands of becoming a father, and admits 2020 placed a huge strain on him.

With partner Talia due to give birth again in May, this year will be even busier for Aaron.

He is determined to continue his hectic training regime as well as juggling the demands of parenthood, with another arrival just months away.

He added: “I’ve been in the MMA world for around three years and it definitely takes a lot out of you both mentally and physically.

“I’ve suffered from anxiety and anger issues in the past, and training has always done me a world of good. CBD really helps me sleep and relax, which is very important to make sure I’m in the best shape.”

Natural Strains is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of CBD products, including oil drops and hemp tea flowers.

“There’s loads of different brands on the market but Natural Strains is definitely the best one for me,” added Aaron.

“It is a fair price and I like that it has lots of different options and strengths, whether it be the CBD oil or the CBD smokeable cones.”

Founder, Ian Lloyd said: “It’s great to hear Aaron has been able to benefit from Natural Strains’ range.

“Lots of people are turning to CBD for help with sleep and anxiety and we have had customers telling us how the Covid pandemic has left them stressed and worried.

“Natural Strains has a wide range of products to suit everyone, whether you’re a seasoned customer of CBD products or just interested to try them out for the first time.”
