Megastar Beyonce has revealed how CBD has helped her with “restlessness” and “inflammation” whilst on tour.

In an interview with fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar, Beyonce Knowles revealed she discovered CBD on her last music tour, saying it helps her with restlessness and soreness.

Not only has she started using CBD, but has reportedly started building a hemp and honey farm.

Speaking to the magazine, the singer said: “I discovered CBD on my last tour, and I’ve experienced its benefits for soreness and inflammation. It helped with my restless nights and the agitation that comes from not being able to fall asleep. I found healing properties in honey that benefit me and my children.

“And now I’m building hemp and a honey farm. I’ve even got hives on my roof.”

Family business

It’s not the only connection that Beyonce has to cannabis. Her husband, rapper Jay-Z launched his own brand of cannabis, Monogram, in 2020 in partnership with California brand Caliva. Prior to the creation of Monogram, Jay-Z was the chief brand strategist for Caliva, however this is his first move into his own cannabis business.

Cannabis investment

It’s been a big year for celebrities moving into the cannabis space. While most has been on the recreational side with the launch of brands such as Houseplant by Seth Rogan or Forbidden Flowers by Bella Thorne, there are some CBD brands too. Martha Stewart and Kristen Bell both have CBD lines of cosmetics, oils and edibles. But this year marks a turning point for celebrities investing in the medical cannabis industry.

Medical Cannabis investment

Footballer David Beckham entered the cannabis industry with a five percent stake in London based cannabis brand, Cellular Goods earlier this year.

Rapper Snoop Dogg has also invested in medical cannabis companies with his investment fund, Casa Verde Capital. He invested in the British company, Oxford Cannabinoid Technologies, which raised gross proceeds of £16.5 million in its initial public offering earlier this year.

Could we see a Beyonce made CBD line any time soon?

According to the article, don’t rule it out. She revealed that she is encouraging her children to take self-care time out by relaxing in some of her homemade blends, but doesn’t confirm if they contain CBD.

She added: “I’m so happy that my daughters will have the example of those rituals from me. One of my most satisfying moments as a mom is when I found Blue one day soaking in the bath with her eyes closed, using blends I created and taking time for herself to decompress and be at peace.

“I have so much to share…and there’s more to come soon.”
