A german CBD brand, which arrived in the UK in December, has been a hit among the A-list – it’s all thanks to the ‘fresh’ and ‘innovative’ products, says its founder.

Berlin, start-up VAAY has seen investment from former Black Eyed Peas member and The Voice star, Will.i.am, as well as Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, Hollywood star Alyssa Milano and German football player Mario Götze, who are all said to be loyal fans of its products.

Since it launched in the UK in December, British influencers have been getting in on the action too.

Last week former Made in Chelsea star and wellness influencer, Millie Mackintosh shared the brand’s bath bomb and body oil on her instagram account and credited them with helping relieve “tight, tired and sore muscles”.

VAAY’s brand founder, Finn A Haensel launched the company with his co-founder Fabian Friede after feeling a need for more ‘sophisticated’ CBD products on the market.

“VAAY is homegrown in Berlin and there didn’t seem to be many cool, young or exciting brands there,” he told Cannabis Health.

“The only thing you have here is the oil, but that’s basically it. There is a need for more sophisticated products with CBD – that’s how we came up with VAAY and we were keen to introduce it to the UK market.”

The fact that the brand has been such a hit with the rich and famous, he puts down to its “high quality” products which feel “fresh” and “exciting”.

Haensel continued: “Our products feel slightly fresher, leaning into the wellness sphere which I believe is why we have received a nod of approval from names like Will.I.Am and extensive backing from other big names and influencers.

“VAAY feels fresh, exciting and innovative, with high quality products with genuine scientific backing, we pride ourselves on our honesty and integrity as a brand.”

The brand says wellbeing exists at its core, with a collection of products designed to facilitate relaxation, recovery and sleep. It is said to blend research based formulas with the highest quality essential oils and full spectrum CBD.

VAAY’s new CBD massage oil, 200mg of natural CBD, claims to soothe tired muscles and joints after long hours hunched over makeshift desks, working from home.

Designed to be massaged over the skin in light circular motions after showering, it is enriched with jojoba and almond oils to leave it deeply moisturised.

It also contains warming ginger essence  which works to create a warming effect whilst facilitating the drainage of waste products from the skin.
