In the third and final instalment of our vaping medical cannabis series, Integro Medical Clinics and Vape Dispensary, explain how to maintain your medical vaporiser.

When a patient is first prescribed medical cannabis flower by a specialist doctor, the prospect of actually taking their prescription using a medical vaporiser can seem daunting.

The vaporiser needs to be carefully maintained and cleaned so that it continues to function correctly.

There is a full time specialist cannabis practise nurse at Integro Clinics, who is available to answer questions and give practical advice.

George Alexander the CEO of Vape Dispensary, the established expert in the medical vaporiser market, is also very happy to answer any patient’s questions relating to the machines and their maintenance.

Here the two have joined forces to produce a series of  three films that talks the patient through; what is a medical vaporiser, how do you use your medical vaporiser and how do you maintain your medical vaporiser ?

Film Three – How To Maintain Your Medical Vaporiser ?

It is vital that a medical vaporiser such as the Mighty Medic is carefully maintained in order to function at optimum capacity.

In the film George takes the Mighty Medic Vaporiser to pieces and shows the patient how to look after and clean the machine.

From brushing out the chamber, to carefully disassembling the cooling unit and then washing the parts in pure alcohol such as ethanol. Then loosening any residue before cleaning the chamber with a medical wipe and letting the pieces drip dry after washing in warm water.

The vaporiser can then be reassembled.

Examples of medical vaporisers include the two best sellers, the  Mighty Medic (£314)  and the Volcano Medic  (£449) produced by German manufacturer, Storz and Bickel.  They are made of the highest standard of  medically approved materials and ensure the patient has complete peace of mind.

“It can take a few times to get used to cleaning the vaporiser and it can seem confusing at first, but you soon get the hang of it,” said George.

“For patients with dexterity issues, it would be advisable to have someone close by who might be able to help with the smaller and trickier parts if necessary.

“Should you have any difficulties whatsoever do not hesitate to give us a call for advice we are always happy to help with advice or repairs.”
